Wine country

About halfway between Canmore and Whistler is Kamloops, at the northern end of BC's wine country. This was the perfect place to stop off and visit a couple of vineyards for tasting. We really enjoyed talking to the owner about the whole wine making process and how he chose his wines. Then we shared a bottle of wine, camping down by the river. This is the sort of thing I imagined for our big adventure.

Temperatures were up at 27 C by the next day so we scrapped the idea of getting in a short climb before Whistler, choosing instead to wander round Kamloops and explore their farmer's market. We didn't buy anything as one of the vineyard owners had already given us the most gigantic courgette I have ever, ever seen, and this will keep us going for a while!
