Coast to Coast Day2: Ratagan to Glen Affric

In the shadow of the 5 sisters

The memory of this day is fading. We anticipated it being fairly short and therefore easy but, with lots of hike-a-bike and some seasonal sleet it wasn't the best day out on a bike I've ever had. Still, as an example of the wild and rugged charm of the west coast, you couldn't get much better. I was glad to see the hostel, with it's cute little wind turbine at the end of the day. It's definitely one of the most interesting hostels I've ever stayed in and remarkably well kitted out for somewhere so remote. And it acutally stopped raining long enough for me to hang my socks outside!
